The electronic devices produced by Mecelec Design Ltd are most frequently used as interfaces for PLC- and PC-based controllers. In addition, electronic control systems may be required to stand alone. In these cases the electronics may include control logic and closed loop control systems. For systems requiring greater complexity, microprocessor control may be employed.

Mecelec Design Ltd has experience in the use of microprocessors to produce control and monitoring systems that are compact, lightweight and require little power for use in portable, battery-powered devices. Such devices include signal processing for sensors, output drivers for indicators and actuators, and interfaces for an LCD display and operator inputs. Connectivity to a host PC can also be provided if required.
Microprocessor code is developed and proven by the Mecelec Design Ltd software team. Code is compiled from programs written in C. Mecelec Design Ltd has experience of hardware and associated software from leading manufacturers, PIC and STM.
