Mecelec Design Ltd operates an in-house dedicated Control Systems and Software department, employing a highly qualified and experienced team of engineers with many years of experience working in the field of special purpose automation and test equipment.
Control systems and the software to support them play a major role in today’s engineering world. Mecelec Design has the skills and experience to support most up-to-date control system packages, including PLC, HMI and SCADA producers, fully supported by in-house computer-based programming available in most languages. Mecelec Design Ltd also has the skills and experience to produce the electronic interfaces required to complement interaction with mechanical, electrical and software systems.

Most of the machines produced by Mecelec Design Ltd are unique and designed for a specific component. However, our Control Systems Engineers have created common control system techniques and software tools which can be shared between our machines. This not only keeps development time and costs down, but also ensures we are working with systems that are fully proven.
Control system software programming is not restricted to working with one main controller; it is now increasingly necessary also to program the ancillary equipment.

Electronic devices produced by Mecelec Design Ltd are most frequently used as interfaces for PLC- and PC-based controllers. Electronic control systems may be required as standalone units. In these cases the electronics can include control logic and closed loop control systems. For systems requiring greater complexity, microprocessor control can be employed.
Mecelec Design Ltd has experience in the use of microprocessors to produce control and monitoring systems that are compact, lightweight and require little power for use in portable, battery-powered devices. Such devices include signal processing for sensors, output drivers for indicators and actuators, and interfaces for an LCD display and operator inputs. Connectivity to a host PC can also be provided.
Microprocessor code is developed and proven by the Mecelec Design Software Team. Code is compiled from programs written in C. Mecelec Design has experience of hardware and associated software from leading manufacturers, PIC and STM.
